Preparing an Upload File

oomph Product Import CSV files are usually not ready to upload when provided to us. There are several changes you’ll have to make when trying to upload a new product:

Remove blank lines
Blank lines will cause issues when you attempt to upload. To remove them:\

  1. Open the CSV file in Excel
  2. Create a new column at the end of the file called delete
  3. In the first cell under the new column, enter the following text: =IF(LEN(A2)>0,“no”,“yes”)
  4. Click and drag that cell to expand it down to the last row of the file
  5. Scroll back to the top. Right click on the delete column you created in Step 2, then select Filter > Filter by Selected Cell’s Value. The sheet will appear to only have the header row.
  6. Click the dropdown arrow next to the cell’s name, then select yes from the list of values
  7. Holding the shift key, click Row 2 in the left-hand side of the sheet, then scroll to the bottom and click the last cell
  8. Press the delete key on the keyboard to delete the selected rows
  9. Save the file
