Packs / Inventory Syncing

  1. Create a new product or update existing product with a variant option labeled
    Pack Size

    (note, it is CaSe SeNsItIvE)
  2. Set inventory to not allow overselling and setup the remaining parts of your product as you normally would, setting the Pack Size Option value to a number equaling the number per package.
    e.g.
    Pack Size: 1
    Pack Size: 3
    Pack Size: 5
  3. Set all inventory to 0 (make sure you do this before the next step or it will add too many units)
  4. LAUNCH DAY / TIME
    1. Add the following tag to your product
      Inventory:50
      Where, 50 = the number on hand when you start selling
  5. The system will go variant by variant enabling the correct inventory amounts for each, rounding down so you don't sell out.

Note - Each time an order is placed, the system will auto adjust all the remaining inventory amounts. If you are planning on a large # of orders in a very short period, I would suggest setting your inventory to the largest pack size + half the pack size (less)

So if you have a 1 / 3 and a 5 pack and 100 units, set your inventory tag to 93. This will prevent any overselling if two people order the same 5 pack within seconds of each other (it shouldn't happen, but some sneak through)
