Time Slips Configuration / Administration

Overview​

Timeslips (https://www.sage.com/en-us/products/sage-timeslips/) has been configured as a SERVER / CLIENT system. Primary database is stored and runs on the PRIMARY server VM.

Access SERVER Admin Controls​

  1. Login to PRIMARY server as Domain Admin
  2. Click on START
  3. Search for TSADMIN (screenshot A)

View Licenses / Clear Logins​

When a new computer needs to access TimeSlips and you have removed an old computer, you will need to remove the license from the TS Admin screen.

  1. Open Server Admin Controls (above)
  2. Click on VIEW LICENSES
  3. Find the user or computer you need to remove.
  4. Highlight that row and then click on CLEAR

Note: If the user is currently logged into the application you can cause database corruption!\

Install TimeSlips Application on new computer​

Note: Even though the folder states Timeslips2013, the correct version should be 2020 from the installation.

  1. Make sure the computer is already joined to the wendienet Domain
  2. Open the following share - \\primary\shares\accounting\Timeslips2013
  3. Then open the LOCALINST folder
  4. Run setup.exe to install and accept all the default options. (You do not need to install Adobe Acrobat)
  5. Note - this needs to run FROM the network location, you can not copy this folder to your local computer and run it.
