Rebooting KLG Environment (Server)

  1. FileServer Instance / VM
    1. Login as Administrator
    2. Verify ALL TimeSlips users are closed out of applications on their computers (Start / TS Admin / View Licenses)
    3. IF ANY USERS ARE LOGGED IN - You MUST log them out of the desktop applications before shutting down to prevent loss of data.
    4. Shutdown File Server VM from inside of Windows
  2. Exchange Server / VM
    1. Login to server as Administrator and shutdown system
      1. NOTE: LEGACY ENVIRONMENT, not in production use since April 2020.
  3. SQLServer / VM
    1. Login to server as Administrator and Shutdown system from inside Windows
      1. NOTE: SQL Server will shutdown using the normal Windows Shutdown and is not actively being used for data transfer when clients are offline or not searching for PDFs.
  4. Sharepoint / VM - Currently disabled and NOT in use
  5. HOST Computer -
    1. Using Windows Administrator, Restart Windows System
  6. On Boot - Server will take about 5-7 minutes to fully initialize and reboot into Windows
  7. All VMS are set to automatically start in HYPER-V.
    1. Priority Order of Starting: FileServer / Exchange / SqlServer
  8. You have successfully restarted the system
