Color Grouping Update

First Step - Collection Configuration:

I am going to use the Dreamsoft Travel Scarf for example here.

Create a new collection with ALL the children products (basically each product is its own product with the color as the primary variant). Since the two color groups for this product is LIMITED EDITION & Classic, I created a collection for Classic - Organic Dreamsoft Travel Scarf & Limited Edition - Organic Dreamsoft Travel Scarf. Links below:

Classic: https://zestt-llc.myshopify.com/admin/collections/263271350335
Limited Edition: https://zestt-llc.myshopify.com/admin/collections/263271481407

On the collections, you will see a metafield at the bottom called COLOR BLOCK TITLE. You will enter the text there of how you want it to display on the PDP. So, in this case, you will see Limited Edition & Classic as the two groups.

Second Step - Updating the Products:

  1. Set Color Type 1/2/3 to the collection handle you copied from the collection steps above. Note, you can have up to 3 collections - Type 1 / Type 2 / Type 3
  2. Set Color Swatch = the swatch image. [Image must be a square and 40x40px minimum]
  3. If you don't have a swatch, set the color of the swatch in the Color Metafield
  4. Save Product

Note: it can take up to 5 minutes to see the metafield updates on the frontend.

This is how it will display on the front end
