Shopify POSPOS Comparison

Pros

  • Fully integrated with e-comm system
  • built in security + hardware connection
  • updates / upgrades happen often with full tech support - reachable by phone typically in less than 10 mins
  • Instore pickup options on e-com storefront
  • All orders and customer data in one spot
  • Relatively easy to pickup workflow

Cons

  • Bugs for the Scanner - in progress
  • Weights are tough to use with POS, but we can work with the new app vendor to solve that issue
  • Less backoffice options than most other solutions due to mainly being for an extension of your e-commerce business

ShopKeep

Pros

  • Same functionality as Shopify POS - with the added ability to really customize the look and feel of the entry screens
  • Connected backoffice system for cafes and storefronts with costing / group
  • Scale support is limited to only 1 android product and it doesn’t work well - gets really bad reviews too
  • Frequently updated

Cons

  • Support is incredibly slow
  • Printers and CC readers disconnect until wifi signal is perfect all the time - re-connecting sometimes means resetting entire network
  • Learning curve is large for backoffice management
  • No easy connection to any online environment - ShopKeep online is pretty slow and hard to use

IT RETAIL

Pros

  • Built for grocery stores
  • scanner/scale option (like a grocery store)
  • Zapier integration for syncing with external services - we can get it setup with CANOPY

Cons

  • Almost too many features for what you need
  • separate system from your ecommerce environment
  • Hardware is made by ITRETAIL, so you are locked into their contract
  • Payment system requires some setup and configuration on their end - same PIN pad setup as a normal grocery store
