Final Sale Message

Steps to setup messages

  • Find a theme you want to configure the final sale tags in and click customize
  • Click the settings icon on the left side of the screen
  • Click "Final Sale System" dropdown
  • You will be met with a few settings:
    • Enable Final Sale Tag? - enables the final sale tagging system for products
    • Final Sale Tag - the tag on the product to search for.
    • Final Sale Message - the message that shows when an item is final sale.
  • Toggle "Enable Final Sale Tag" on.
  • Set the tag you want to search product tags for. For example: "final-sale"
  • Set the final sale message you want to show on the cart page. For example: "SALE ITEMS ARE FINAL SALE *"
  • Click the save button on the top right of the screen to apply the settings.

Now that the message system is setup and configured for use, we can start tagging products for final sale. To do this...

  • Open the Shopify Admin
  • Click Products and search for a product you wish to tag with "final-sale" ( or whatever tag you set in the field )
  • Open the product and find the tags section.
  • add the tag to the field
  • save the page ( VERY IMPORTANT )
  • To test if the system is working, open your website and add the item to the cart that has the new tag added to it.
  • When you land on the cart page, the text should show on any product line item who has the tag.
