Products / Collections for the Sale​

  • Add item list spreadsheet

  • Name of the sale collection

  • (INTERNAL) When there are products with certain variants, need to duplicate the original product and remove the variants that will not be on sale. Update the pricing directly in the admin.

  • (INTERNAL) For the big holiday sale, need to create duplicate products for the SALE collection since they do a pre-launch for subscribers and cannot effect the original products in the main collections.

  • (INTERNAL) When the duplicate products are made, need to add these products to the correct shipping group in Advanced Shipping Rules.

  • (INTERNAL) When you set up the launchpad event that include these duplicate products, need to keep the product active in the admin, but remove from all sales channels. Then put it under the PUBLISH products section in launchpad. It publishes the sales channels on the day of the event.

  • (INTERNAL) Tag the duplicate products with pfs:hidden:s to hide from search during the PRE-SALE.

  • (INTERNAL) For the big holiday sale, need to set the warehouse deals products as drafts for the period of the sale.

  • (INTERNAL) Once the sale is over, need to keep the duplicate products in the backend of Shopify for 30 days just in case customers need to generate a return. Once the 30 days is up, the duplicate products can be removed.

  • (INTERNAL) Duplicate products: need to keep certain tags to enable the filters correctly on the front end.

Discounts​

  • Let us know if you don't want discounts to stack.
    • (INTERNAL) We tag items with 'sale' which rejects these products from being able to use other discounts. If there are products with certain variants, the compare at price triggers the script to know that a specific variant cannot be used with a discount.
