Configure Personalization In the Shopify Theme
Theme Settings: Personalize
In the Shopify theme, you can configure various personalization settings. These settings can be accessed under Theme Settings → Personalize.
1. Setting URL
- Type: String
- Description: This setting defines the URL for accessing the personalization data for a given SKU.
- Example Value:
"https://lenox-rb-app-fe68c2643fcd.herokuapp.com/" - Usage: Enter the BASE URL that points to your personalization service that pulls in the personalization data. URL is later formatted to be
https://lenox-rb-app-fe68c2643fcd.herokuapp.com/api/v1/pz/:sku
2. Setting Tag
- Type: String
- Description: This setting specifies a tag used for filtering or identifying personalization items within the store.
- Default Value:
"Personalize" - Usage: Use this tag to categorize products that offer personalization options, ensuring that only these products display personalization features.
3. Setting Personalize Fee Product
- Type: Product Select
- Description: This setting allows you to select a personalization product that will be added to the cart along with the personalized items.
- Usage: Choose a product (such as a "Personalization Fee") to be added to the cart when customers opt for personalization.
These settings give you control over how personalization options are presented and how the associated products are managed in the cart.
Below is the product export for the Personalized Fee Product. If personalization product is missing, you can add it with this file.
